If you’re looking for a spacious rental with sea views, Tall Ship is the property for you! The townhouse has three bedrooms (two doubles and a twin) and two bathrooms, sleeping up to six guests — the perfect size for larger families or groups of friends holidaying together. Tall Ship boasts a lovely location. From the top three floors, there are beautiful vistas out over Billow Ness and Anstruther’s historic harbour across to the Isle of May and Firth of Forth, and the property is walking distance from the award-winning Anstruther Fish Bar, the local corner shop, and the Co-op. Free street parking is available a few minutes’ walk away from the property. At low tide, you can even cross over onto the esplanade via a series of stepping stones. The property has a lovely open plan living area with a well-equipped, Shaker-style kitchen (kitted out with a microwave, oven, gas hob, washing machine, dryer, and a dishwasher), a dining table that extends to sit six, a television, and a small reading nook with comfy sofas and warm blankets — a great space for informal family suppers and cosy film nights after busy days out at the beach. The property is oozing with character and charm: we love the woodburning stove, exposed brickwork, wooden floors, and stained glass windows! The family bathroom has a large bath that’s perfect for long, luxurious soaks and a separate shower. There’s a second shower in the en suite, on the ground floor. Linen, towels, and hairdryers are provided for your convenience, and pets are also allowed at the property. Welcome pack including tea, coffee, sugar, milk ,and toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap are provided . Recent guests remarked that “the views are to die for”, that the property was “very well equipped”, “clean, comfortable, and spacious” and “comfy with lots of character” — we couldn’t sum up the townhouse better ourselves! Whilst staying at Tall Ship, you’ll be able to make the most of the attractions and amenities in Anstruther. Take a boat trip out to the Isle of May which is home to around 200,000 seabirds including a large puffin colony, as well as lighthouses and the ruins of an old priory — it’s a nature lover’s paradise! For history buffs, there’s the Scottish Fisheries Museum and Scotland’s Secret Bunker, and for adventurous adults and kids there’s a wide range of activities on offer at East Neuk Outdoors including bushcraft, open canoeing, snorkelling, and archery. In addition, the property is just a short drive from the cosmopolitan university town of St Andrews which has a fantastic array of restaurants, museums, and beautiful beaches, and the other fishing villages in the East Neuk are easily accessible, too, by car, bus, or the coastal path. You will be spoilt for choice when deciding which attractions and activities to include in your daily itinerary!

"We've loved our stay in the Tall Ship, in what must be the funkiest and coolest village in Scotland! Tall Ship is a great fun property, very clean and well-appointed, with terrific views. The maritime theme of the decor is great. The wooden yacht rail bannister adds a really nice touch. We've had a great Easter Holiday short break, and we'll definitely come again. Thanks!"

"The Tall Ship is in a great location but unfortunately with a dog and no garden we had to walk her each morning early to the harbour. Our grandchildren enjoyed the quirkyness of the house! It had all we needed in the kitchen and enough towels etc for our 4day stay. One thing I think would improve is to have a couple of lamps in the sitting area as the ceiling lights very bright while watching t.v. ( table lamp in the twin bedroom not working!) Instructions as to where the rubbish bins were wasn’t clear and we had to phone to find out- we managed to take our rubbish to some bins nearby on the street? All said we would recommend The Tall Ship as it’s in a great location although parking also a nightmare! We had to park up in the car park by the Co-Op!"

"Me and my family had a lovely stay in Anstruther. The tall ship is very quaint and cosy and in good location to all the sights. Great sea views from 2 of the bedrooms. be aware when you book your stay that right next door is The Bank hotel. On a Friday and Saturday night the street outside can be noisy with people leaving the pub. Apart from that you will have a lovely stay!"

"Great location, both for Anstruther itself (just a few minutes walk from harbour, bakeries, shops etc), and for getting to other towns and beaches in East Neuk (including St Andrews). The bedrooms were spread out across four floors, so it was good for having your own space, with a well stocked kitchen in between."
