Elie is a fantastic place to be, with golf, putting, tennis, beach and water sports on the doorstep, all a short drive away from St Andrews, the home of golf.
There are six bedrooms, four bathrooms, five public rooms, plus a garden games room with a full-size table tennis table.
Ground floor:
Entrance vestibule with coat hooks & shoe storage.
Hallway with impressive winding staircase leading to the first floor. There is a wooden bench with storage, a wi-fi router & an under stair cupboard with additional coat hooks and a vacuum cleaner.
Large kitchen/diner with dining table, seating for 12 and additional stools at breakfast island. This well-equipped cook's kitchen includes an American fridge/freezer, Aga, gas hob, microwave, and dishwasher. There is an adjoining 'cards room' for bridges, dominos or could be used for working from 'home'. From the kitchen, a small hallway leads to a useful utility room with a washing machine and a separate fully tiled wet room with w.c & wash hand basin. Doorway leading to back garden, games room and patio with outdoor furniture.
Large sitting room with two huge comfy leather sofas and additional chairs, piano and a wood-burning stove to keep you extra cosy on those long winter nights. Leading from the lounge, there is a conservatory with plenty of seating and views across the garden and golf course. Also adjoining the lounge, you will find a TV room with a flat-screen TV and DVD player perfect for the kids and a downstairs bedroom (bedroom 6) with zip & link beds perfect for anyone with mobility issues.
First floor:
Main bedroom (bedroom 1) with mahogany king-size bed (lie on it and look across the golf course to the cliffs and sea beyond). Stunning en suite bathroom with roll-top bath, shower enclosure, w.c and the largest double sink we have ever seen!
Master bedroom (bedroom 2): double aspect enormous bedroom with views across the golf course to the cliffs and super-king mahogany four posters.
Bedroom 3: Beautiful single room with a small double bed.
Family bathroom with bath and overhead shower, WC, wash hand basin & towel heater
Second floor (attic rooms):
Bedroom 4 with stunning views over the golf course, zip & link bed that can be made up as either twin or super king on request
Shares bathroom (restricted head height: sink, w.c and bath) with Bedroom 5 (more suited to children).
Bedroom 5 also has stunning views and two single beds; we can provide the third pull-out bed on request.
Outdoors
Games room: in the garden, a table tennis room, with flat-screen TV and sofa, and an additional shower room. Great for teenagers (or Dads....!) on a rainy day. Large slabbed patio area with table and seating for 12 and bbq area. The Garden has drying whirly, apple trees and a gate which gives direct access to the golf course.
